The opportunity
Delaware North Australia is hiring passionate and skilled Demi Chefs and Chef de Parties to join our culinary team at the iconic MCG. If you’re a culinary professional looking to work in a dynamic, high-energy environment, this is your chance to be part of the largest sporting stadium in the Southern Hemisphere!
Our Chefs will play a key role supporting the delivery of high-end food offerings across multiple restaurants, corporate dining and functions, including the following:
- Hugh Trumble Café and Paddock Café – all day dining
- Revered fine dining in the Committee Restaurant – ‘by Guy Grossi’
- Members only modern Australian cuisine in the the MCG’s famous Longroom & Members Dining Room
- The best of Australian beef and seafood cooked over wood fire in the Jim Stynes Grill
- Corporate suites dining for up to 2000 guests

What will you do?
- Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ensure all menu items consistently meet presentation and quality standards
- Maintain strict compliance with kitchen hygiene, food safety, WHS and HACCP requirements
- Assist with daily food preparation, stock rotation and equipment upkeep
- Be available to work across a rotating roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays
Chef de Partie — Additional Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and support across all back-of-house operations
- Manage ordering, stock control and associated kitchen administration tasks
- Lead designated sections during service and assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
More about you
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environments
- Demonstrated ability to operate in line with WHS and HACCP standards
- A team-focused approach with the ability to lead or support colleagues in a high-pressure setting
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Proven experience with ordering, stock control and kitchen administration (Chef de Partie level)
