The opportunity
Delaware North is hiring a Technology Operations Lead to join our team at Kennedy Space Center. As an IT Engineer, you will support and maintain all technology-related software and hardware, service an appointed region addressing infrastructure, solution support, service requests, and incident tickets. Additionally, you’ll ensure compliance with enterprise technology policies, coordinate project requests, and deliver on operational tasks.

What will you do?
- Serve as the administrator of all systems, their functions, and any ancillary systems, including training, reporting, documenting, and enabling user access.
- Implement or guide the implementation of technology solutions for the operation ensuring consistency with overall technology standards, strategy, and operational requirements.
- Manage and coordinate managed service and solution providers for the successful delivery of technology services in support of our operating business needs.
- Assist in training current and new associates on proper procedures, regulations, and expectations.
- Manage and participate in corporate IT projects, providing technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with cross-functional departments and external vendors to ensure project objectives are met on time, within scope, and budget. Assist in project planning, implementation, coordination, and issue resolution to drive successful project delivery.
- Provide expert technical support for Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, ensuring they are operational and effectively meeting business requirements.
- Coordinate and provide IT support for special events and rocket launches, ensuring technology is set up and functions correctly.
More about you
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in the implementation, management, and maintenance of information technology infrastructure and IT systems including cloud architectures, server technologies, communication technologies, LANs, WANs, telephone, voice, video, and data communication systems.
- Support out network infrastructure to insure optimal performance, security and reliability.
- Performance changes and udates to cisco switch.
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, manage competing agendas and priorities, and translate complex information across internal and external audiences.
- Experience and knowledge of information security.
- Skilled in critical thinking, troubleshooting, written and oral communication, and customer-centric approaches.
- Knowledge required of virtualization technologies, enterprise storage technologies, load balancers, Windows Server OS, Enterprise backup solutions, Lifecycle Management, and performance monitoring tools and remediation.
- Must be able to work on days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
