The opportunity
Delaware North’s Global Business Services team is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our team and focus on Financial Reporting. In this role, you will support unit and subsidiary management in the preparation and review of monthly accounting close process, contractual reporting compliance and annual external audit of the business.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $66,500 – $89,900 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
- Executes strategies and standards related to accounting policy, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial systems and controls.
- Supports the management of the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes for the business.
- Working with and assisting management, trouble-shoot unit accounting questions and suggest proper accounting treatments when new accounting issues arise.
- Perform research and prepare documentation to support the annual external financial audit process for business.
- Collaborate with corporate departments and teams to ensure any required changes to policies, procedures, and processes are implemented.
- Collaborate with data owners/stewards to align on process and data issues
More about you
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business related curriculum coupled with relevant prior accounting experience.
- Prefer 2+ years’ of accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office,PeopleSoft Financials, OneStream or similar accounting software.
- Understanding of how to drive effective performance management.
- Facilitation, detailed collaboration, and effective communication.
