The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is searching for a Maintenance Manager to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. Known for our exceptional gaming experiences, first rate amenities, and outstanding customer service, we are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team. This position will provide a pivotal role in safety training, internal projects planning and execution and managing the preventative maintenance at the property.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $56,900 – $76,800 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
- Provide safety training and skillset training identified by the director.
- Maintain logs of safety training schedules.
- Manage the preventative maintenance set in place by the department.
- Work closely with department heads to plan and execute small internal projects.
- Maintain a healthy stock of parts and materials necessary to complete the preventative maintenance scheduled.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of maintenance technicians, working closely with other managers and directors to ensure preventative maintenance and projects are being completed in a timely manner.
- Have a patient demeanor towards associates ensuring they feel valued and receive all the necessary training.
- Willingness to step in and assist as shift supervisor when needed.
- Work with vendors onsite from time to time.
- Have knowledge of safety training as it relates to a gaming setting. Or be willing to receive the training before issuing training to the associates.
- Have knowledge of skilled trades as it relates to the maintenance department in a gaming setting.
- Stay informed about industry safety regulatory changes to proactively address compliance issues.
- Maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Collaborate with various departments to uphold and improve service standards to meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Able to perform all duties while staying within budget.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
- Identify and implement new methods and products/materials that extend the life cycle and reduce maintenance needs without compromising quality and original design.
- Work towards enhancing overall operational efficiency of the maintenance department.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with stakeholders regarding maintenance related work and current progress of projects.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance industry.
- Exceptional ability to facilitate material in a learning setting.
- Knowledge of purchasing and ordering materials.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to adjust to change and execute those changes.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical requirements
- Manual dexterity is sufficient to use hand tools and to paint.
- Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Visual acuity is sufficient for reading, performing repairs, and painting.
- Exposed to outdoor weather conditions in all seasons, including variable temperatures and wet and/or humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The noise level may be moderate-to-high.
