That’s life for some of Delaware North’s Parks and Resorts team members. Chip, Housing Officer at Shenandoah, shares, it’s priceless “being able to work in an area where you get to explore nature and parts of the country that people come from all over to see. I get to work here.”
Team members love the perks, too, with Walter, Cook, sharing that “Delaware North takes such good care of us. Erin’s career adventure: Growing with every peak
Success comes in many forms and growing in your career to reach places you’ve never been before sounds like a great opportunity. We sat down with Erin, General Manager at Yellowstone General Stores, who shared her career journey with us. Beginning as an Environmental and Safety Intern at Yellowstone General Stores, Erin has grown with us over the years and is now thriving in her role as General Manager.
What stands out as a memorable moment from your journey at Delaware North?
“The relationships I’ve formed; building connections with both year-round and seasonal team members was incredibly rewarding and helped shape my approach to leadership. I maintain connections with many team members and mentors from my internship to my current position, and these relationships have been instrumental in my career growth.“
Looking back, what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your Delaware North career?
“It’s okay to feel scared or unsure at the beginning, but remember, growth often comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.“
What advice would you give someone joining Delaware North?
“While it may sound cliché, the sky truly is the limit. Delaware North offers abundant opportunities for growth, but success depends on your willingness to seize those opportunities.“
