Delaware North Australia is now hiring passionate and experienced culinary professionals to join our dynamic team at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). We’re seeking talented chefs with strong backgrounds in events and corporate suite dining, who thrive in high‑volume, high‑energy environments and take pride in delivering exceptional food to our most discerning guests.
Our culinary team sits at the heart of the MCG’s premium hospitality offering — from refined menus in exclusive dining rooms and corporate suites, to large‑scale event catering and high‑end function spaces, all delivered with precision and pace.

What will you do?
- Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ensure all menu items consistently meet presentation and quality standards
- Maintain strict compliance with kitchen hygiene, food safety, WHS and HACCP requirements
- Assist with daily food preparation, stock rotation and equipment upkeep
- Be available to work across a rotating roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays
- Provide supervision and support across all back-of-house operations
- Manage ordering, stock control and associated kitchen administration tasks
- Lead designated sections during service and assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
More about you
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environments
- Demonstrated ability to operate in line with WHS and HACCP standards
- A team-focused approach with the ability to lead or support colleagues in a high-pressure setting
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
